Jack Black, born in Santa Monica and raised in Hermosa Beach, California, is an accomplished actor, comedian, musician and the lead singer of Tenacious D, a rock duo with partner Kyle Gass.

Blacks parents were notable satellite engineers Thomas William Black and Judith Love Cohen, who worked on the Apollo lunar module and the Hubble Telescope.

Jack has crafted a successful career across the entertainment industry, starring in School of Rock, Kung Fu Panda, Jumanji and a host of other notable films in diverse roles. His awards include an Emmy Award, a Grammy Award, and nominations for three Golden Globe Awards.

It is not uncommon to find Jack out and about in the South Bay where you will find his kindness and connection with fans on display.
