Seating is first come\, first served! Concerts in the Park are free and well attended; early arrival to obtain prime lawn seating is encouraged. Concert goers are asked to leave pets at home. Use low backed chairs to minimize visibility issues behind you. Don’t block the aisles. Be courteous to others. No smoking in the park. Watch your children\, keep them off the stage and the stage apron. Climbing the trees in the park is not permitted. Place your trash in the bins throughout the park. NO– pets\, barbecues\, skateboards\, scooters\, or roller blades are allowed in the park. Concert staff and security are not responsible for unattended chairs blankets and other picnic items. Please do not remove items (chairs\, blankets\, etc.) that do not belong to you.

SUMMARY:2025 International Surf Festival
DESCRIPTION:Presented by BEACHSPORT.org\, the Chambers of Commerce and Cities of Hermosa Beach\, Manhattan Beach\, Redondo Beach\, Torrance\, Los Angeles County Fire Department and Department of Beaches and Harbors. \nThe 2025 host city for the 62nd International Surf Festival is the City of Torrance. The event promotes the four South Bay beach cities\, the world’s best lifeguard service\, and physical fitness for thousands of participants.  Participants range in age from 8 years old to the late 80’s.  The three signature events for the festival are the Judge Taplin Lifeguard Medley Relay\, the Dwight Crum Pier-to-Pier Swim\, and the Charlie Saikley 6-Man Volleyball Tournament.  Other great events include a surfing contest\, bodysurfing contest\, beach run\, paddleboard races\, dory race\, and youth events. The festival has hosted numerous international lifeguard teams including teams from Victoria\, Australia.   \nThe International Surf Festival kick-off dinner is held on the Wednesday prior to the start of the Charley Saikley 6-Man Volleyball Tournament and the Lifeguard Intracrew competition on Friday. The dinner includes the Los Angeles County Fire Department Lifeguard Medal of Valor award ceremony \nThe International Surf Festival is a non-profit 501(c)(4) corporation.

Enjoy carnival games\, costume contest and parade\, Teen Center Haunted House\, cupcake walk\, snow cones\, refreshments\, activities and much more\, perfect for ages 2 to 15. Bring out the entire family and get into the Halloween spirit. Children under the age of 5 years old must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Most game booths are constructed by participants and staff in the REC Program and Teen Center. Events\, attractions\, and costs are subject to change without notice. Prizes while supplies last. \nCostume Categories:\nIndividuals\n7 and under\n8 to 15\nGroups\nSiblings\nParent and Child \nAwards:\nJudges will be awarding prizes for 1st through 5th place\, make sure you come dressed up and show off your costume.\nCarnival Bracelets: $10 per carnival participant (price subject to change)\nEach child participating in the Halloween Carnival is recommended to purchase a bracelet. The bracelets include unlimited use of:\nAll carnival booths on the basketball courts\nAccess to the Teen Center Haunted House\nSnow cone\nParticipation in the Cupcake walk (like musical chairs)\nFood Booth: Cash and Credit available \nActivities and Events (prices subject to change)\nCarnival Game Booths Free for bracelet holders\nThe carnival booth games are made by the participants of the REC Program and Teen Center. Booths will be closed during the costume parade. \nCupcake Walk Free for bracelet holders\nVery similar to musical chairs without the elimination. Halloween icons will be placed on the ground in a circle. Participants will walk over the icons while music plays and when the music stops\, everyone must stand on one of the icons.
