Most game booths are constructed by participants and staff in the REC Program and Teen Center. Events\, attractions\, and costs are subject to change without notice. Prizes while supplies last. \nCostume Categories:\nIndividuals\n7 and under\n8 to 15\nGroups\nSiblings\nParent and Child \nAwards:\nJudges will be awarding prizes for 1st through 5th place\, make sure you come dressed up and show off your costume.\nCarnival Bracelets: $10 per carnival participant (price subject to change)\nEach child participating in the Halloween Carnival is recommended to purchase a bracelet. The bracelets include unlimited use of:\nAll carnival booths on the basketball courts\nAccess to the Teen Center Haunted House\nSnow cone\nParticipation in the Cupcake walk (like musical chairs)\nFood Booth: Cash and Credit available \nActivities and Events (prices subject to change)\nCarnival Game Booths Free for bracelet holders\nThe carnival booth games are made by the participants of the REC Program and Teen Center. DESCRIPTION:The Main Street Fair is a 30-year-old annual tradition celebrated every autumn in El Segundo.  Eight city blocks are closed for fairgoers to enjoy 160+ artist & craft booths\, street vendors\, kid games\, a food court\, the Compass Realty sponsored Beer Garden\, and all-day long live music played by local performers at the Beer Garden stage and LAWA sponsored Main Stage! \nThis local tradition brings out school groups\, local eateries\, and over 3\,000 visitors to enjoy fun in the sun on the walkable streets of downtown El Segundo. \nOur annual fair celebrates the vibrant downtown community and brings together local non-profits\, school groups\, sports teams\, and many more to hang out and enjoy another wonderful Saturday in the South Bay. \nIn addition to many fantastic artisans showcasing their creativity\, and locally made wares\, a diverse food court\, local restaurants with Fair exclusive deals\, and the Main and Beer Garden stages with live and local musical performances will also be present. \nThe Main Street Fair is produced by the El Segundo Kiwanis Club as a fundraiser that benefits children’s needs throughout El Segundo and neighboring South Bay communities.

DESCRIPTION:About this event\n\n\n\n\n\n\nOn April 26th\, 2025 we will be hosting our second annual Waterfront Ultra Charity Race at Project Barley Waterfront in Redondo Beach\, CA. The idea for our event was inspired by the world famous Backyard Ultra Championships created by Lazarus Lake (https://backyardultra.com). After following this event for a number of years\, we thought it would be a fun idea to not only try it ourselves\, but also be of service to our community in the process. Here’s how it works. \nEvery hour on the hour\, racers are required to step up to the starting line and proceed to run 4.167 miles. The race continues every hour until the final hour where it becomes a race for time. Simple! Athletes can choose to compete in either a 50 Mile\, 12 hour or a 25 Mile\, 6 hour version of the race and will be allowed to use our designated rest area in the Project Barley Annex while waiting for the next hour to start. Fair warning\, while this area is large enough to hold everyone\, it is not large enough for everyone to lay down while all athletes are still in the race. Public restrooms are located next door to the location. \nWe are limiting this year’s event to 100 racers. General entry is $50 (plus fee). All proceeds will be donated to Cancer Support Community South Bay. Race day shirt included with all entries. \nThis year’s Waterfront Ultra is designed to be a fun get together of like minded individuals who enjoy fitness\, a good hang\, and giving back to the community. This is not a city sponsored event so please respect the local community as if this were your own backyard. Whether you run one lap or you go all day\, this race is for you to find your own limits. We can’t wait to see everyone on race day!
